I actually grew up on a golf course because my parents were avid golfers. My mom was a stay-at-home wife and my step-father was a firefighter who working 1 out of every 3 days.

Needless to say, they had LOTS of time to golf!

Oddly enough, I never picked up the game in my youth and just spent all my time out at the pool, and occasionally would hit the driving range.

Fast forward to today, and as my husband and I are eyeballing our empty nester years, I decided I was ready to give golf a try!
